Q. WHY UTILIZE THE ULTRADRIVE™ TECHNOLOGY?

A. The UltraDrive™ System has been continually improved in both its performance and applications. No longer is it necessary to attach and remove the drive system from the medical devices. Through the use of the UltraDrive™ technology we have provided our customers a consistent, reliable device with repeatable results. The UltraDrive™ is a small footprint robust device that allows technicians the help that they need to further reduce their physical workload so that they can do what they do best, TAKE CARE OF THE PATIENTS!

Q. AS AN OEM WHY NOT RECOMMEND THE ULTRADRIVE™ TO YOUR CUSTOMERS?

A. As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), you want to give your customers the best medical technology available. Also, you want your product to “Do No Harm: while providing that technology. As an OEM you should not be concerned with FDA approvals for approximately 30% of your technology users. That’s right, only about 30% of your market is the mobile market! With our custom designed UltraDrive™ System that is not interconnected to the medical device, you don’t have to be concerned with FDA approvals for the mobility function of your device. It is truly stand alone, while still being attached to the medical device. We utilize existing bolt up features to attach our device. As an OEM, your physicians and end users can be provided your technology during their Mobile Phase. When those physicians and providers are ready to purchase for their fixed based operations, the will be more inclined to purchase the technology that has helped them to build their practices, and the technology that they know best, YOUR TECHNOLOGY!

Q. WHAT DOES THIS DO FOR ME, THE EMPLOYER?

A. As an employer of highly skilled professionals, you have a duty to keep them safe, in a physically stress free work environment. The use of the UltraDrive™ can help to reduce overall muscoskeletal on the job injuries. The reduction is seen as a proactive step by your Workmen’s Compensation Insurance provider. Every action that you take towards ensuring that your technicians are safe on the job helps to reduce your cost of providing these services, saves operating cost.

Q. WHY DO I NEED THE ULTRADRIVE™ SYSTEM?

A. An additional ground clearance can be obtained for movement of low riding equipment. Daily pushing and pulling of equipment in weight ranges from 200 to 3000 pounds can cause repetitive stress and back injuries. An average workmen’s compensation claim can be $5,000 or more for a first time injury.

Q. CAN I MANEUVER IN CLOSE QUARTERS?

A. Our specially designed programmable microprocessor controller allows for the most minute movements to be accomplished for safe and accurate positioning of equipment.

Q. WHAT KIND OF MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED ON THESE SYSTEMS?

A. Sealed motors, wheel bearings, controllers and gel cell batteries are maintenance free. Other than a daily recharge, no service is required. Annual replacement of both batteries is recommended. 24 hour maintenance and troubleshooting assistance is only a phone call away.

Q. IS THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MODIFIED IN ANY WAY?

A. NO! Our system utilizes existing mounting structure for the wheels and casters provide by the manufacturer. A stand-alone Electric Power Assist Device.

Q. CAN I MOVE THE EQUIPMENT MANUALLY WITH THE ULTRADRIVE™ INSTALLED?

A. YES! You can disengage the automatic wheel brakes (without removing covers), and move the equipment manually, much in the same way as you would without the system installed. Some UltraDrive™ models feature retractable drive wheels.

Q. HOW LONG OR HOW FAR CAN I DRIVE THIS SYSTEM BEFORE A CHARGE OF THE BATTERIES IS REQUIRED?

A. Normal drive time is about 8 hours before the unit must be plugged into a 110 volt (or 220 volt) outlet for approximately 8 hours for a full charge. All systems include a battery charge indicator.

Q. WHY SHOULD I REPLACE THE PALLET JACK THAT I CURRENTLY PROVIDE FOR MY TRANSPORTABLE SYSTEM?

A. A pallet jack must be removed prior to setting up the equipment, stored off site and is unsafe and unsightly. It also cannot provide the control and stability necessary to allow maneuvering in all directions, and adds significant weight to transport vehicle and lift platforms.

Q. WHY WOULD I USE A MODIFIED MOTOR HOME OR TRUCK AS A “CLINIC ON WHEELS” INSTEAD OF BRINGING THE DEVICE INDOORS?

A. YOU CAN! With a motorized system, you can offer the medical facility the option of “Treat On” in your vehicle, or “Treat Off” in the facility’s building, giving you the maximum flexibility for your equipment investment.
